D & D Beyond offers update on the integration of Monsters of the Multiverse

D & D BEYOND has provided an explanation to subscribers on how the next Multiverse Book will be affected by existing users. At the end of this month, Wizards of The Coast will launch Mortardenkainen presents: Monsters of the Multiverse, a new book of rules that collects more than 30 player races and more than 250 monsters of previous books. Many of the races and monsters in Multiverse monsters contain reviews of their previous appearances, which has generated questions about how Wizards of the Coast and its partners will implement changes in several platforms and programs.

This week, the D & D Digital Platform, D & D Beyond, provided a brief update on the launch of Multiverse, with previous content updates, either through errata or new book updates, D & D Beyond has updated the blocks of Statistics for all your subscribers, regardless of whether they bought the updated content or not. For example, a D & D subscriber who purchased the Elemental Evil Player – Elemental in D & D Beyond for the Goliath players’ career rules is not necessary to buy Value from the icy wind: Rhyme of the Conceal de Frosta to get access to the updates made In the race of the Goliath player in that adventure. However, this will not be thus with monsters of the Multiverse, especially because some changes made in the book are considered unpopular between a fan segment.

During the weekly development update video of the platform, the head of D & D Beyond, Joe Starr, assured subscribers who would not replace the existing purchased content with multiverse monster content. «The big question that people have for us Specifically around monsters of the Multiverse is ‘Will this replace my content previously bought?’ Starr said. It will not. This will not replace at all what you previously bought in D & D Beyond ».

Starr did not specify exactly how he would implement the new blocks of statistics and players who are in the book. We are currently working with Wizard in the approach, you know, the practical approach to make that work, Starr said. «Wizards of the Coast has asked us to like to take the initiative in the message about this book, we allowed that, but we wanted to make sure that everyone understood that their things will not be replaced, you will not lose anything when you publish this book. Then, I wanted to leave that rumor, that concern, in bed.

We are still waiting to hear how other parts of the D & D community implement these changes. For example, does the organized gaming community will require the monsters of the Multiverse Rules that will be used, or will allow players to use previous versions of the rules in the game? We will have more news about monsters of the multiverse, that will be launched first as part of the rules’ expansion gift set at the end of this month and then as an individual book in May.
